Lagbaja and Rema Headlining Confam Gbedu

Pepsi Naija will be partnering with the organisers of Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) this year. The soft drinks company known for its partnerships with Nigerian entertainment will be hosting “Confam Gbedu” at the week-long roll out of the prestigous awards.

“Confam Gbedu” will see the old generation merge with the new generation with the mask-loving artiste, Lagbaja being a featured performer along with Pepsi brand ambassador, Rema.

Lagbaja and Rema will be the headlining acts at the 8th edition of the AMVCA on May 14th, 2022.

The performance will bring a fresh and unique dynamic to the AMVCAs”


The older generation will remember Lagbaja for his saxophone skills and masked face as he delights Nigerians with its distinctive 90s and early 2000s mixed music. He is still relevant in the music industry.


Hired especially for the younger generation, talented singer and rapper Rema joined the Pepsi Naija alliance of ambassadors last September.

Rema is known for its unique music brand called Afrorave, a sub-branch of Afrobeat with influences from Arabic and Indian music.


Pepsi Naija’s partnership with AMVCA is an extension of the brand`s passion for entertainment and support for the ever-growing pop culture in Nigeria.


As part of other activities lined up for the AMVCA week, Pepsi Naija will showcase a Pepsi-inspired fashion collection at the runway show on May 8th.

All designers will showcase a look inspired by the brand and the winner will get to design a limited merch collection for the brand.

The runway show will be spiced with a live performance by Olufunmi crooners, Style Plus.

In further support of ingenious music talents in the African entertainment space, Pepsi Naija will also be rewarding the winner of the Best Soundtrack Category Award with N1 million.


Topping up the exciting schedule, Pepsi Naija will be providing an AMVCA after party with a blend of premium refreshments and music from its DJ ambassador, DJ Xclusive, and popular DJ, Crowd Kontroller.
