Insecurity: Former Senate President Saraki Promises Change

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki

Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, decried the country’s present insecurity issues. On Friday, May 7, 2022, he said that if elected President in 2023, one of his first goals would be to address insecurity and unemployment, and ensure significant food production.

Saraki spoke to delegates, leaders, and executives of the PDP’s Katsina State chapter at the party’s state headquarters. He said that while the PDP was in power at the federal level, the country’s security situation was significantly improved.

Saraki promised PDP delegates in Katsina that he would defend their interests if he wins the election.

“Katsina is my home,” he stated emphatically. I’ve merely come to inform my Katsina brothers and sisters of my plans to run for President of Nigeria in 2023. If I am elected President of Nigeria with your help, Katsina becomes President as well.

“Many presidential hopefuls will come here to meet you, but tell them you’ve known me for a long time, we’ve worked together, and we understand one other.” Inform them that I am the President of the United States.

“Today, Nigeria’s security situation is dire. If elected President, I will address insecurity; I will prioritize the safety of Nigerians; I will also create jobs and ensure that our farmers produce enough food for our people. It will also improve your health.
