Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano State And His Wife Bag Chieftancy Titles in Ibadan

On Saturday June 18, Governor Ganduje and his wife, Prof. Hafsat Ganduje, were installed as Aare Fiwajoye of Ibadanland and Yeye Aare Fiwajoye of Ibadanland respectively by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun

The event which was attended by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero, National Assembly members and hosts of others.

Speaking at the event, governor Ganduje said

Nigerians needed to collectively encourage and promote national integration towards achieving national unity
We are grateful to the Olubadan, Olubadan-in-Council and Ibadan people for honouring us with this prestigious titles. This gives us motivation and encouragement to do more in promoting unity”, 

The presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said that giving out such chieftaincy title to a non-indigene was a rare privilege.

Earlier, Oba Balogun, said that Ganduje and his wife were detribalised Nigerians, adding the honour was well deserved.
